Public search behavior
The service works with public usernames and publicly available media when those sources are accessible.
Searches for unavailable, private, or restricted profiles may fail because IGViewer does not bypass account permissions.
Analytics data
IGViewer uses Umami to collect visited page URLs, including searched public Instagram usernames, referrers and campaign parameters, browser and device information, approximate location, feature interactions, errors, and Core Web Vitals.
The application does not assign a persistent visitor ID. Umami still groups activity into its own anonymous sessions for reporting.
Operational logs may be used to protect the service from abuse and keep public browsing features reliable.
Session replay and heatmaps
Umami session replay and click and scroll heatmaps are enabled for production visits and may record visible public page text, public usernames, clicks, scrolling, navigation, and media controls for up to 20 minutes.
Typed form values are masked by the recorder. IGViewer does not request or intentionally collect Instagram passwords, private-account credentials, media URLs, captions, bios, or downloaded file contents in analytics events.
